Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] Filling a Report from a JSON String ?)

No, won't work either...

Oh, I noticed that we seem to have lost :

If you check the Watcher "Add app variables" checkbox then App Builder add to the debugger watcher app variables created by the SetVar, NewArray and NewObject actions.

Removing, adding the Watcher again seems to work btw

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] Filling a Report from a JSON String ?)

Well, perhaps is this because I feed the report with

instead of

but I am unable to add the closing bracket "]" (and accessory I have lost the page of the special characters in the help file)... I need some rest :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] Filling a Report from a JSON String ?)

Hello David and other friends,

I am at that time where the brain is lost by many hours of trials : I am looking for a way to fill a Report from a String and don't understand why it is not working with the example attached (I swear to have searched the examples provided with AB).

On that example, I have a button at the left which serializes / unserializes the content of an Array that I would like to use to feed the Report1.Data. The console shows that Report1.Data is the String I provide.

With the button at the right, I only feed the Report1.Data from code (example provided in the Help file). In the console, I can see that Report1.Data is composed of two Objects.

But why doesn't it work when I provide the String as data because it does work when you provide a file in the Report1.Url ? It is a string too. I am a large bit lost

Many thanks for any reply :p

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [idea] functions visibility in the IDE)

Hello David,
Thanks for your attention and your proposal. I wonder if a "negation filter" would be the solution if we have to always set it. Perhaps should we think or let others express their meaning about before asking you to want working on that point.
But thanks again for the attention :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [idea] functions visibility in the IDE)

Hello,
Could it be possible to have a way to hide some functions from the Actions list (not from the Function's manager) in the IDE (I would call them sub functions, called from an existing function to provide it a result) ?
For the moment, I do prefix them with a z (ex: zMySubFunction) but I do see a lot of them in the list.

Having a folder to put them in or only an IDE visibility option, could be perfect

Many thanks :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Question about WebSockets clients and servers)

Hello David,
Thanks a lot for the message and the new information. I apologize for the delay (had no machine till now). :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Show a Details view when click on a Report's record row)

Hello Joseph,
I would take a look at the "DecSoft" app sample shipped with AB. There is a function OpenProgramUrl to modify as a first step to find your solution. That function is linked to the Report.Click event.
To access a view, you can use ShowView or ReplaceView (but I am sure you already knew that).
Hope this can help

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] Height of the debugger's window ?)

SOLVED
Sorry, it was a temporary internal error probably because I was making too much stressing tests since this morning. After a crash and a new launch, it is working as I was used.

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] Height of the debugger's window ?)

Hello David,

I am sorry for the late question about that point because I should have asked it before but never noticed it previously :D

While I am creating a complex layout with a lot of controls moved by code, I have noticed that the debugger's window displays some vertical scrollbar.

My view is : 480x320
The debugger's view is manually set to 480x320

[img=ScreenGif.gif]https://www.decsoftutils.com/_support/uploads/e69daad8b1407a93ccdc9a033a9b4f4c.gif[/img]

Is this the correct behavior or does it mean that in some cases, the app could be longer than what I can see in a separate browser, please ?

Many thanks

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] 2017.21 - backups created for the samples)

Thanks David. I can confirm you have fixed it :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [SOLVED] 2017.21 - backups created for the samples)

Hello David,
If I well understand it, it seems that backups are listed in the "app samples" directory.

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [solved]: Missing App Icon on Android)

Thanks David. Tested and worked nicely :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: [solved]: Missing App Icon on Android)

Hello Antonio,
Not so strange : from time to time, the images are not generated automatically. Just close the project, reopen it and rebuild... Tada...

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Apache Cordova HTTP tiny web server)

Thanks a lot David for having made my thoughts clearer :)

Samuel Vanneste (In thread: Apache Cordova HTTP tiny web server)

Hello David,
Thanks a lot for that addition. May I ask you if this could mean that we could use the HTML Compiler with apps created with App Builder, now ? I am unclear on that point.
Many thanks
