* Fix an error when initialize a Date input control without a default value. We are using the Moment JS library to try to initialize the input value, but, from sometime ago, we remove the Moment JS library in favour of the Luxon JS library. We fix the bug by using the Luxon JS library to initialize the Date input control if they have not a default value set at designtime: basically in this case we set the input value to be the current date.

* Fix an error when initialize a Time input control without a default value. We are using the Moment JS library to try to initialize the input value, but, from sometime ago, we remove the Moment JS library in favour of the Luxon JS library. We fix the bug by using the Luxon JS library to initialize the Time input control if they have not a default value set at designtime: basically in this case we set the input value to be the current time.

* Enhance the style of the TypeAhead DecSoft control (from the DecSoft Controls App Plugin, which is included out of the box) in order to put the type ahead list of items above other possible elements: basically we positioned the list and set an appropriate z-index.

* Fix a mistake in the App Plugins development help / documentation related with the files that we include with the app plugins: the "File" tags that we can use must be self closed XML tags, in order to be valid: in other case, and, like the help refer before this fix, the possible unclose "File" tag, will cause that the plugin (XML) loading operation fail.

Here is a new DecSoft HTML Compiler with the below changes, fixes and enhancements:


2024.6 (06/16/2024)

* Add the new dhc.app.navigate() JavaScript external function. This function allow us to navigate to an URL or an app page, not using an HTML link, but, from JavaScript. The objective of this function is allow us to navigate to a website URL, but, mainly, one of our app pages, for example, from the app main menu, while we are showing an external / website URL in the browser. In this case we can't just use the "document.location", since this will not work as expected. Look at the below referred sample apps and the help / documentation of the product for more information.

* Add the new Navigate sample app. This sample app show us how to use the new dhc.app.navigate() JavaScript external function. This sample just show us how we can use the function, however, a more real scenario of this function usage is the MainMenuGlobal sample app (see below) which is also included in this product release.

* Add the new MainMenuGlobal sample app. This sample app show us how we can create an app main menu from the app JavaScript option, so, the menu is available even if we go to online websites or pages "outside" the app pages. This sample is a way to show how we can navigate to online pages, but, at the same time, go back to our app pages / offline. This sample also show the usage of the recently added dhc.app.navigate() JavaScript external function.

* Prevent to recreate the main menu and the tray icon menu if some menu items already exist. This is specially useful if we are create the menus from the JavaScript option of the app, since, in this case, the menu will be recreated on every page which is loaded. This causes a visible "glitch" and, on the other hand, is not what we wanted: recreate the menus over and over again. Remember, however, that it's possible to clear the menus items from JavaScript, so, you can certainly use the right JavaScript external function to clear the menus items and then create / recreate the menus.

Here is a new DecSoft App Builder with the below changes, fixes and enhancements:


2024.25 (06/12/2024)

* Internally separate the app files definitions to app StyleSheets and app JavaScripts definitions. This allow to deal with these files in a separated way, which is useful for other changes that we introduce in this release (see below) and others that can may introduce in future releases.

* The app file picker dialog has been removed and we incorporate two dialogs instead: the app StyleSheets dialog and the app JavaScript dialogs. These dialogs are used in the app Files Manager to pick StyleSheets and JavaScripts files to be included in our apps. The help / documentation has been enhanced to describe these new dialogs.

* We can now specify the type attribute of the JavaScript files that we want to include in our apps: the default attribute is "none" (means no type attribute), but we can now choose also the "module", "importmap" and "speculationrules" type attributes for the included JavaScript files. We can choose this types from the new app JavaScript picker dialog. The app plugins can also set now the type attribute for the JavaScript files that they required.

* Update the VueJS JavaScript library Router to the latest 4.3.3 version (debug and production) for the apps template. This version of the VueJS JavaScript library Router includes a lot of changes, fixes and enhancements.

* Update the Inno Setup program to the latest version. This is the software that we use for the creation of the installer of DecSoft App Builder, and, the latest Inno Setup version provide a lot of changes, fixes and enhancements.

DecSoft (In thread: Inline style in toasts container)

Hello Mario,

Certainly, there is an inline style like you see. I honestly can't remember the reason, but, I remove it and make some tests, and, apparently everything is right. So I remove the inline style from there and publish a new release of the product right now, so you can update your copy, sir, and, take a look.

P.S. After a bit more research, apparently the inline style is intended to place the possible modal alerts above the toasts, however, probably it's better to not do that, I mean, probably the toast must be above everything else, including the modal alerts. So for now we keep the make change: remove the inline style from the toasts container.
